Overview

To lead the sales team, engage directly with the top customers and enhance the Traditional Trade Channel sales capability in order to maximize the sales, distribution & visibility of the company’s portfolio.

Responsibilities

Customer Management

Supervises the execution delivery of joint, category-focused, business plan that delivers Transmed business objectives, works with customer strategy and delivers new consumer insight driven growth opportunities.

Manages customer relationships through implementing the agreed specific business plans via effective negotiation, persuasion and conflict management/resolution.

Is responsible to ensure that all customer data and information required to support the customer relationship is shared in a timely manner and within the agreed time frame.

Ensures self and team has a deep understanding of Transmed and customer strategy, shoppers and consumers.

Supervises the execution of the Joint Business Plan and True-score cards with customers.

Create a personal relationship with the customers’ by sharing valuable business information, market and product updates.

Sales & Initiative Planning

Responsible to supervise the execution of the sales target plans across the trade.

Needs to monitor and report all sales driver activity, customer satisfaction/feedback and communicates results both internally and externally. 

Shares recommendations with the Sales Sr., Management team in order to beat the competition post analyzing Sales/Market trends.

Is responsible to ensure his/her team managing customer head office are equipped with concept sells, brand guidelines and sales deployment tools.

Ensures that Sales performance reporting systems used to forecast, monitor and manage the business are accurate.

Must be able to respond to a dynamic business environment that is constantly changing and determine key actions to resolve challenges.

Financial Acumen

Responsible to initiate negotiation of commercial terms (if required) within the Trade Term guidelines

Delivers Sales Volume and Market Share Targets for his/her trade.

Responsible to ensure 100% collection of trade receivables in order to achieve targeted credit terms policy.

Setting the strategy for trade funds deployment across his/her channel in order to maximize the return from these funds

People Development

Provide leadership through effective communication of Transmed Purpose, active coaching and development while comparing sales results to goals and taking appropriate action to correct when necessary.

Provide supervision through field visits, observations and measurement of results to include performance appraisals and salary reviews.

Identify managerial talent among developmental team members in order to ensure continuity, staff loyalty and succession planning

Energize the Sales team and build the adequate motivation levels in order to achieve the desired sales results

Create a “winning” and “collaborative” environment among Sales team members in order to help make Transmed a “preferred” place to be in.

 

Qualifications

  • University Graduate, BA
  • 6 Years Managerial Experience
  • 8 years in a sales role
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in traditional sales management is a plus
