Overview

To plan and manage the receiving, handling, storage and delivery of stocks in an efficient way to ensure stock accuracy and quality assurance standards strictly implemented according to space management and company procedures to deliver maximum value and profitability.

Responsibilities

Team Management

  • Organizes and staffs the team with adequate resources and talent in order to achieve the desired levels of Organizational Excellence.
  • Provides the team with adequate coaching, mentoring and training in order to achieve the desired business results and sustain Organizational Excellence and competitive advantage.

Resource planning and utilization

  • Plans the daily distribution of resources among receiving, storage and delivery operations across all warehouses in order to maximize warehouse staff productivity and storage efficiency
  • Oversees the accurate counting and documentation of all receiving, handling and dispatch of goods respecting FIFO/FEFO procedures in order to maintain stock accuracy and no discrepancy between physical stock and WMS.
  • Oversees and manages cycle counts in order to ensure accuracy as per SOPs
  • Oversees that products are stored in the designated locations according to Company procedures and that the Warehouse damages are reduced

Control, Safety, Security & Maintenance

  • Ensures proper training to reporting staff on implementation of safety and security procedures to eliminate accidents and pilferage and ensure compliance with quality assurance standards.
  • Carries out periodic checks on warehouse building, racking, and equipment to assess maintenance and repair requirements

Delivery

  • Directs transportation operations including on time dispatching, routing delivery tracking and returns.
  • Monitors fleet time and capacity utilization and ensures delivery routes are fully planned through Roadnet to comply with requested delivery dates.
  • Develops transportation policies and procedures.
  • Communicates with sales team to improve delivery schedules and improve minimum order quantity.
  • Communicates with customers to speed up unloading time and improve unloading processes.

Customer Service

  • Ensures internal & external customer satisfaction and attends to customer complaints in order to support sales in achieving the company target

Expenses

  • Recommends plans/ projects in order to optimize storage and delivery cost

TM Purpose

  • Acts as a role model by living the Transmed Purpose on daily basis.

Qualifications

  • BA degree in Logistics or similar field
  • Master’s Degree is a plus
  • 7 – 10 years of experience in a similar environment
