Overview

 To ensure Transmed Logistics operates in accordance with strict quality assurance and safety standards in order to improve the quality and safety of our operation and deliver best in class results.

Responsibilities

Quality Assurance functional leadership and training

Ensure site leadership is actively involved in the QA programme and directly encouraging a quality culture throughout the site.

Design and deliver the right levels of QA and Safety training to support the company goals.

Provide documented qualifications, re-qualifications and ongoing training improvements for our QA and Safety program.

Back up of Food QA Leader on all QA elements. Trainer on cleaning, promotional activities, Mock Recall and SOP’s. Back up trainer on all trainings in the absence of Food QA Leader.

Packing room design

Ensure packing room and equipment are designed to encourage compliance with quality and safety procedures.

Layouts provide sufficient space and direct product flow.

Design facilitates easy cleaning, maintenance, and offer protection from weather, pests and other sources of contamination.

Training & Education

Conduct Safety Orientation to Employees, Visitors and Security guards.

Design and deliver the right levels of Safety and Security training to support the Company Goals

Provide documented qualifications, re-qualifications and ongoing training improvements for our Safety & Security program.

Risk Assessment

Conducts regular safety audits across all Transmed and 3PL sites and implements corrective action plans.

Conducts regular risk assessment, hazard identification and risk evaluation including DG classified products storage, electricity, distribution boards, machinery, racking, sprinklers, fire pumps and working from heights to improve and update existing accident prevention plan.

Conducts safety and security incidents investigation.

Packing operations, starting materials and standards.

Back up of Food QA Leader on release of all starting materials or finished products.

In process quality assurance testing

Ensure that the packing operation produces quality product, correct to approved specifications without exception.

Ensure that defined starting materials are controlled during receipt, storage and use.

Ensure the development, implementation and control of fit for use standards and specifications that meet legal, safety, customer and consumer requirements.

Written procedures, records and complaints

Develop and approve QA and Safety related SOP’s to ensure the highest quality standards

Ensure up to date procedures are in place and are faithfully followed so that work processes are reproducible time after time and consistent product quality is achieved.

Owns and leads the Self Improvement Program

Ensure that systems are in place to track the DC’s quality programme, together with actions to address the outages and actions to continue to improve the DC’s QA and Safety capability.

Qualifications

Graduate Degree in Industrial Engineering or Business Administration or related field from a Leading University

Safety Certification is a Plus

Quality Certification is a Plus

1-3 years’ experience with similar highly professional MNC Distribution/Manufacturing/Production environment with focus on Safety and/or quality assurance.
